A walk along the coast and passing a small copse, I stopped in my tracks. To my right there was a twist of trunks and branches right at the edge of the cliff. Beyond them the ravens flew.
There were no leaves, so I did not know what kind of tree they were. There were only branches entwined and crossing each other, growing long and in the direction of the prevalent wind. I have seen many trees and bushes like this, all in exposed sites. It is fascinating and beautiful to see. For my sins, I attempted this one in watercolour.
