The painting was loosely based on the view from my window. One evening the weather was such that we observed deep blue-grey clouds in one part of the sky as if heavy rain or blizzards were to follow. In other parts of the sky there were orangey skies with the sun setting and areas of the landscape being touched by colour and light. The whole thing was surreal. During a chat at Savooni Gallery Rich Webster and Chrissy Lovebe said it looked like there were four seasons on the canvas, so I decided to call it “4 Seasons in 1”.
